E304 - Stronger Together: Public/Private Partnerships
2:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.Public libraries play critical roles in many areas, two of which are helping people with digital literacy skills and helping people access and use quality health information. This session explores how public libraries are working in partnership with other community organizations to meet these important challenges. Case studies and key learnings from libraries nationwide offer examples and strategies you can use in your own digital literacy, consumer health, or other programming. Speakers from the Public Library Association and the National Network of Libraries of Medicine show how working with community partners can leverage new assets and strengthen the library’s programs, from planning and marketing through execution and evaluation. Along the way, attendees also learn about valuable resources for teaching digital literacy, offering health reference, and conducting health-related programs.
