Andrew Weiss is a 'Digital Services Librarian' at CSU Northridge in Los Angeles, California.  His work is primarily concerned with institutional repository development, scholarly communications and open access initiatives. His research involves examining Massive Digital Libraries (MDLs) such as Google Books, HathiTrust, Internet Archive, and DPLA. In addition to a number of articles and book chapters, he is the author of Using Massive Digital Libraries: A LITA Guide (2014). He is currently editing the book Collection Development and Management in Massive Digital Libraries (see call for chapters) and writing another book on "Big Data" and user privacy. He holds an MLISc from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (2008) and an M.A. in English literature from Temple University (but that was a long time ago).
