Dr. Lorri Mon is an associate professor in the School of Information at Florida State University's College of Communication and Information.  She is the co-author with Dr. Christie Koontz of the recently published book Marketing & Social Media: A Guide for Libraries, Archives & Museums (2014). Dr. Mon's research has examined online information services in e-government, online education, and digital libraries, particularly focusing on the provision of information services via emerging digital technologies such as chat, e-mail, mobile technologies, social media and virtual worlds.  Dr. Mon teaches in the areas of social media management, digital reference, government information, e-government, and reference and information services.  She is currently working on research on mapping the footprint of public libraries in social media, and exploring metrics for assessing social media success.
