Ruth Aptaker

Ruth Aptaker is the Director of Library and Information Services at Mater Dei High School, one of the first high schools in the nation to adopt a full 1:1 iPad program. She is also a resident library innovation consultant for the Diocese of Orange and several local public schools. Formerly, Ruth held positions as the Supervisor of Library Services at Tustin Unified School District and YA Collections Assistant at the Library of Congress. Though reading is a passion for Ruth, promoting libraries, librarians, and information literacy is the foundation of her personal and professional objectives. Ruth and her husband celebrated the birth of their son in September of 2014. The Aptakers also have two French Bulldogs who provide endless entertainment for the always reasonable cost of room and board. They all live in Orange, California.
