Tim Rogers

Executive Director

As Executive Director of NC LIVE, Tim Rogers works closely with representatives of NC LIVE’s four communities of to manage consortial services, projects, and activities. He provides vision and leadership to NC LIVE’s planning and assessment activities, oversees resource licensing efforts, coordinates organizational public relations and partnership, and seeks external funds for NC LIVE projects. In 2013, he organized the NC LIVE Foundation, a nonprofit group established to provide NC LIVE with supplemental funding for digital library efforts. Tim earned the Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the State University of New York at Buffalo and the Master of Library Science from Indiana University. He has been active in the profession, on both the state and national level, including serving as President of the Kansas Library Association in 2005. He speaks frequently on licensing, collection development, strategic planning, and libraries as the center of a digital world. He lives in Clayton, North Carolina with his wife Carla, and when not spending time thinking and talking about libraries can be found on the beach (any beach!) doing his best Jimmy Buffett.
