Karen McBride spent the first 16 years of her library career with the William Rainey Harper College Library in Palatine, IL, coordinating the library's very successful Library Instruction program. After earning her MLIS from Dominican University in River Forest, IL, McBride joined the Des Plaines Public Library team as their very first Web Services Librarian. In 2011, she began working at the Barrington Area Library, as Public Information Manager. McBride manages the Library's website, the user interface of the online catalog, the Library's social media presence, overall brand and style, digital signage, print and electronic newsletters, the Gallery in the Library, and many, many, many, many other things. She cannot get enough of travel in the UK, so if she forces you to look at photos, please act interested.
