Chris Markman is a Senior Librarian from Palo Alto City Library in Palo Alto, CA. His previous research projects include a cyber security risk management framework for public libraries and exploration of P2P technology for digital collections and open data.

In 2020 he and two librarians at Palo Alto City Library began streaming videogames on Twitch.tv at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. This learning experience was recently featured in the ALA affilated Information Technologies and Libraries journal.

Over the past 10 years in addition to presenting at local and national conference on both coasts, he has also served as a guest writer for a number publications including EDUCAUSE, Sec4Lib, and PlayMeter Magazine.

Chris has an MS degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College in Boston, MA, and an MS in Information Technology from Clark University in Worcester, MA.
