Eric Button has served as the Deputy Director at St. Louis County Library since 2016.  He has been with SLCL for more than 24 years in a variety of management and administrative roles.  During his tenure at the library, he participated in and led transformative change within the organization.  Partnership development and strategic responses to the needs in the community are at the center of his work as Deputy Director.  These components of his work were brought to the forefront of library services during the Covid-19 pandemic.  Eric helped the library establish a robust range of service responses to meet both the traditional library needs and expanded community services. Mr. Button earned a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1998.
