Born in rural Avoyelles Parish, Ms. Reech-Harper's affinity for libraries and the access they provide began at an early age. 

She has served communities in Southwestern and Central Louisiana since 2008. Her career began at the Beauregard Parish Library where she served as a Youth Programming Coordinator, Programming Department Manager then Associate Director. She attained her MSIS from the University of Tennessee in 2012 and became Director of the Rapides Parish Library in January 2020. 

Ms. Reech-Harper enjoys community outreach, creating partnerships to boost resource provision for those she serves, and watching movies with her spouse and feline housemates.
